Love Notes
Love notes…that is what peaked my attention when I started on the journey through For You Love by Ronne Rock and Courtney Nowakowski. Who doesn’t want a love note? What woman doesn’t want to read about how precious and loved she is? Or be reminded of God’s affection and provision just for her? Be ready to have your love tank filled because in this responsive prayer journal that is exactly what you will get!
“This is a love note. For you, beautiful one. Because you deserve every word ever written about what love is and what love does and what love finds you to be.” (excerpt from For You Love)
What is a Responsive Prayer Journal?
A responsive prayer journal is like a journal on steroids! It provides Scripture reading, a prayer, pre-written notes and a beautiful drawing to color. In addition, there is plenty of space to write in your own thoughts, highlight, color or draw your own pictures.
I have heard many women say they don’t write in a journal because they don’t know how to. They see the blank pages and either are intimidated or just don’t know where to start. For You Love provides a starting point to get your wheels turning.
More Than a Prayer Journal
Ronne and Courtney have laid this book out so beautifully. As they take us on a journey through Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians we can see God’s love, power and provision. It can be used as a stand-alone Bible study or in your daily prayer time. For me, I dove into the pages for my morning devotion. I was delighted and filled up each day!
Recommended Additional Items
Get prepared ahead of time to make the most of For You Love by having a pen, pencil, markers, crayons or colored pencils handy. Personally, I preferred colored pencils because they don’t show through on the back page. Also, have your study-Bible handy in case the Lord leads you to additional Scriptures (which happened to me).
For You Love- For A Cause!
Proceeds from the sales of For You Love are used to help those who have the opportunity to love and care for orphans or vulnerable children. Just recently, Ronne and Courtney awarded their first scholarship to Lisa who founded Grace’s Table, a ministry dedicated to caring for teen moms. Lisa’s scholarship will allow her to travel to Guatemala to serve orphans.
By grabbing your copy you are helping a worthy cause and getting your love tank filled at the same time!
Final Thoughts
This is a fantastic book. While I typically journal every day in a blank book, I really enjoyed the responsive approach and the creativity this journal fostered.
God asks us to hide His Word in our hearts and there is something powerful about reading it, writing about it, and drawing a picture. It just ingrains it a little deeper in the mind and heart.
I have also enjoyed flipping through the book to look back at what I wrote…those special “Ah-Ha’s” God had just for me!

I love this idea! Had to order it right away. I spend a lot of time in hotel rooms traveling for work and I can’t wait to color and journal while meditating on Jesus when I’m alone.

God loves us dearly and we are so valuable to Him, even though we don’t deserve it. We were dead in our sins when He chose us, and He has places us with Him in the heavenly realms.

This looks really interesting! I enjoy journaling, but don’t seem to get to it. Other than my blog. I guess that’s my journal?
